IPTV Smarters is the default that most providers bundle, and it is fine. Not good, fine. It works on more devices than anything else, including Samsung Tizen and LG webOS panels where TiviMate simply does not run, and that ubiquity is its entire argument. The Firestick's weakness is thermal — during a four-hour doubleheader in a warm room, we recorded a measurable increase in dropped frames in hour three on two of the four providers. The Apple TV 4K was the best performer in absolute terms, which surprises nobody.
